I need help. I can't decide between these two kitchen faucets. The kitchen is going to have cherry cabinets, soapstone perimeter, and a carrara marble island top (these photos are just examples). Here is the sink too.
Both faucets come with a soap dispenser, have a stainless steal finish and the price is similar. Which looks better?

Is one more resistant to finger smudge marks? I prefer the first image.
ReplyDeleteI like the first one. don't know why, they are both nice. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteStaci
I too like the first - not as chunky at the base.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the rest of your choices.

From Jan - I have had polished, brushed and satin finishes. The polished is just as easy, if not easier, to keep looking nice. Any finger prints wipe right off, just as with the other finishes. A slightly damp cloth is all that is needed for maintenance of any of them. Choose the finsh that looks prettiest to you. Go with your gut instincts. Any of the finishes will fit into a decor - find the one that you can't help but run your fingers over and fondle. That's the real test - which faucet do you want to fondle - which cureves and which finish? Personally - I love the shape of the bottom one - to me it looks much more upscale. The styling is edgy and european enough to bring out the best of a country, traditional or urban kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI like the first one.
ReplyDeleteIn all honesty, they both seem way too contemporary for the surfaces and style of your home. There are lots of fabulous, more period looking faucets out there. I would also rethink the soap dispenser...
ReplyDeletegood luck.
